THE PROJECT
Within the DeveloPPP program established by the BMZ - the German Federal Ministry of Economic
Cooperation and Development and Sequa - a German non-profit development organization, a project was
created to establish a training center in Serbia for transport of goods in road transport. The
project is created by the German transport company Richter Transport with its training center in the
city of Wesel in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Richter Transport along with its
German
project consortium, establishes a training center in Serbia for transport of goods in road
transport, with introduction of German standards of systemic transport solutions, by increasing
capacity and knowledge in the transport of goods in Serbia through improvement and further
development of vocational training. The aim of this DeveloPPP project is to improve the capacity of
professional teaching in the transport of goods by road in Serbia, with the cooperation of lecturers
in this field from Serbia and Germany and the exchange of practical experiences. The implementation
of the project lasts during one year with the aim of a creation of a new training center in
Belgrade, an elaboration of its curriculum, holding workshops in the field of system transport and
the impact of night driving, organization of study trips, establishing pilot trainings and
influencing professional teaching in terms of quality improvement through positive practical
examples.
After the implementation, the Richter transport training center CENTAR ZA
OBUKU continues its
commercial activities and presence in the market of Serbia and the region, improving professional
training, practical skills and promoting the transfer of new technology from Germany to Serbia and
the region.
The official associate of the project in Serbia is the Serbian Association of International Road
Hauliers – MT.
